We get a lot of questions about shipping upgrades and timeframes. Unfortunately the time it takes to go back and forth in Etsy convos potentially delays shipping which is not great for those seeking super fast delivery. To help speed things up we have generated the following Zone chart and FAQs (scroll below chart) to help inform your decision about upgraded shipping without the delay of back and forth messaging. We are still very happy to answer any questions in Etsy convos!
The Post Office generates 9 zones from a sender’s address based on distance. These zones can give you a more accurate idea of how long a shipment will take to reach you. Below find the zone chart from our address to help you determine your zone in relation to us. To use this chart you just need the first 3 digits of your zip code. Find the range your zip code prefix falls under in the left column and you will see your zone in the right column.
If you are in zone 1 or 2 your shipment will arrive on shorter end of the time frame for the shipment service selected, if you are in zone 7 or above, it will likely take the longest end of the timeframe for the shipping service selected. Zones in the middle will be somewhere in the middle of the shipping time range. Zip codes which use our same Network Distribution Center (NDC) are likely to arrive sooner than ones that don’t.
EXPRESS shipments made before noon EST have a 1-day range for most addresses with the exceptions being in Zone 9+ listed individually at the very bottom. These may take up to an additional 24 hours for EXPRESS delivery.

Q: How do I select upgraded shipping?
A: Once you have added the item to your cart, you can view it in your cart. From this view, in the right hand column there will be a drop down menu where you can select the upgrade of your choice.
Q: What are zones?
A: Zones mark the distance between the sender and receiver and will be different for every sender/receiver combo.
Q: What are are your guarantees on shipping? Why are they longer than the shipping services?
A: 2-day Priority Mail (1-3 day) shipping upgrades are guaranteed to arrive by the 4th day after purchase. EXPRESS upgrades are guaranteed to arrive by the 2nd day after purchases made before 12 noon EST. The guarantee means we will refund the upgraded shipping fee if the order does not arrive in time. All shipments are tracked and we guarantee our shipping rates at the longest possible timeframe so we can include all possible shipment addresses in our guarantee. Its very possible your shipment will arrive sooner than the guaranteed timeframe, it depends on your Zone, Network Distribution Center and the time of day you place your order.
Guaranteed arrival times include processing time in addition to shipping time (eg pulling from storage, packaging, weighing, measuring and labeling, which, while it doesn’t take a tremendous amount of time, isn’t automatic). While you can order something on Etsy 24/7 from any time zone, our Post Office has regular 9-5 business hours in the Eastern Standard Time Zone, orders made later in the day/evening will take a day longer than those made early in the morning.
Because we never know where a potential customer might live or what time of day they might make a purchase, we have set our guaranteed delivery times with all possibilities in mind. While we do not adjust this guarantee, we know the majority of our orders will arrive before the guaranteed delivery times and hope to give an idea of how it works with postal Zones outlined above to help you make decision about purchasing upgraded shipping.
Q:Why is 2-day Priority Mail sometimes referred to as Priority Mail (1-3 days)
A:The Post Office calls its standard speedy upgrade: Priority Mail (1-3 day) at purchase and 2-day Priority Mail on the label. We try to always include both ways of putting it but understand it can be a bit confusing. Basically, unless you are the highest zones, this is 2-day shipping. If you are in zone 1 or 2 or use our same Network Distribution Center its possible it will arrive in 1 day. Unlike the EXPRESS rate this delivery is folded into your regular mail delivery and does not estimate or guarantee the time of delivery, just the day.
The Priority Mail EXPRESS rate arrives next day (on orders placed before NOON EST) to lower 48 states with the exception of zone 9+ and the 5-digit exceptions at the very bottom of the chart above (which can take an additional 24 hours.) Depending on your carrier/route this may arrive separately from your regular mail delivery.
